Amalfi Coast & Beyond
The tours will run from September 2006 to June 2007, with a special New Year’s Eve tour.
History, art, culture, tradition, gastronomy....Campania’s unique heritage is framed by placed such as the enchanting Amalfi coast, once upon a time dominated by the maritime republic of Amalfi. The Amalfi coast has been named “world heritage site” by Unesco. Places such as Positano’ the pearl of the Mediterranean” or the magnificent island of Capri.....and the eternal Pompeii, buried by Vesuvius ashes in 79 ad, which have kept everything as it was almost 2000 years ago. You will also admire the palace of Caserta and its incredible gardens and the charterhouse of San Lorenzo in Padula, one of the most impressive religious buildings in Italy and Europe.
Trips will take place from September 2006 through June 2007. Tours will visit the cities of Pompeii, Capri, Anacapri, Caserta, Naples, Positano, Amalfi, Padula, Salerno & Paestum. Cost range from $1,599 to $2,199 per person, double occupancy based on the month of departure
Participants receive round-trip airfare from New York JFK to Naples; seven nights accommodations at the four star “Lloyds Baia” or similar, [double occupancy] in Vietri sul Mare; seven buffet-style breakfast, seven dinners and one lunch; transfers to and from the hotel. Other U.S. cities of embarkation at an additional charge and subject to availability and scheduling. Excursions are included and an English speaking guide will escort each group.
