Chukka Adventure Tours Celebrates Jamaica Culture

Bob Marley Tour offers visitors a better understanding of the world-famous musician.

A genuine, colorfully decorated Jamaican country bus (the kind Marley often rode before fame came to him) takes participants via Higgin Town and Claremont to the village of Nine Mile, birthplace of the musician.

While there, visitors can visit with Mr. Marley's family and inspect his childhood home, hosted by a Rastafarian guide.

Chukka Adventure Tours' Jamaican Heritage Tour begins in St. Ann's Bay, Jamaica's oldest town and landfall for Christopher Columbus.

Visitors travel in a luxurious air-conditioned bus that continues on to the shrine of Marcus Garvey, a passionate spokesman for racial equality and considered one of Jamaica's greatest national heroes.

This tour also visits Seville, the oldest recorded site of Spanish occupation on the island.

Other Chukka tours also explore Jamaica's history. The Mountain to Sea Bike Adventure visits the village of Mount Zion. The Jeep Safari Tour takes visitors to tour Jamaica's old churches and plantations.
