BELIZE: MUNDO MAYA EXPLORATION
The Mundo Maya Exploration is a high adventure interactive rainforest jungle experience. Tours and treks are individually personalized for small groups staying at the Mundo Maya resort, tutored by highly qualified professional guides. The adventurous types can trek lowland and upland jungles, the Maya Mountains, remote wilderness areas and wild rivers with rare and endangered birds, animals and plants. Interesting places like the Belize Zoo, and the Jaguar and Howler Monkey preserves are easily accessible to everyone.
You can explore hundreds of caves and sink holes, many world class, or go on canoe and kayak treks to remote whitewater rivers, and we have a waterfall so high you have to look at it in installments. An unbelievable variety of birds, butterflies, orchids, exotic flowers and wondrous animals abound in Belize's exciting world of jungle wonders. All this is safely available in comfortable convenience with competent professional guides and friendly courteous staff to insure that you will have the experience of a lifetime.
Some guests may wish to "interact" in a comfortable hammock with a cold drink as they wait for the next flock of yellow-headed green parrots to fly by, while others will want to, or perhaps go caving or canoeing in the Class IV rapids in a whitewater trip. Less vigorous experiences are plentiful with bird watching, orchid hunting (there are over 300 varieties in Belize) or exploring the fascinating wonders of jungle medicine. Your program will be designed to meet your individual desires.
Adventure activities are organized under the following interest areas:
Adventure Trips
There are an intriguing variety of Day Adventure Trips which are interesting for anyone who would like to see the natural beauty sites in the Maya Mountains, and Belize rivers, caves and jungles.
High Adventure Treks
You can explore the sacred magical caves with their haunting Maya sacrificial artifacts, or take a jungle canoe trip to count crocodiles, iguanas, giant storks, howler monkeys and slithering jungle creatures. Overnight campouts are an exciting opportunity to experience the jungle at night.
Environmental Tours
